Cannibal Holocaust: Is it really That good?

Image
This may be the Most Shocking statement coming from an Horror fan and a writer to say something like this. Here goes nothing... Cannibal Holocaust is overrated and it's not that good.  The main character has made it to the island to film a documentary about the "Cannibal" Tribe. They Asked what they were looking for. Too Bad they won't make it out.               Yes, I know it's very shocking about that statement, But hear me out as to why I said it. It's overrated and is on every horror movie lover's list, and it's been used for every horror film countdown, Critic choice, and others. It's almost like a drinking game every time a fan mentions this film. It might cause the viewer's liver damage.            But there are so many other great Cannibal Films that are just as good as this film. However, it seems like it's being overshadowed by this film. The film was only famous because of several thin...

The 90's Horror films finally getting their roses!

Image
The 90s horror films have come a long way from the glorious 1980s horror days.       90s Horror films are slowly starting to get the flowers and praise, they so highly deserved. Between the highly recognizable 1980s, the unforgotten 70s, and the famous Atom 50s it sure took a long time for Film historians, Critics, and fans, to see the influences that some of the '90s horror films have on future filmmakers and writers of today.  From High School Vampire Slayer to Living Dead Zombie Telling Scary Stories, these were the shows that defined the 90s.      The movies that were once gone straight to Video Horror films have now been resurrected back to the big screen. Even though some low-budget horror films, have made it big on video and networks made tv movie horror films. ( Steven King's IT Series, The Shinning, and Rose Red).  Horror TV shows were still going strong with some anthropology horror shows that are well known.   Pennywise...

The Beauty of Anime Japanese Horror

Image
From Movies to TV, Horror anime is grown in popularity since the introduction of Chainsaw Man, Parasite, and Death Note. These are the types of Jhorror Anime.  The Idea of the anime horror movie is mentioned and reviewed by other people in the horror community. But it's not talked about more than other type of horror films and shows. There are tons of great anime movies and TV Shows that anime fans would vouch for and Could introduce to people interested in this type of horror media.   Open Wide and Say AHHHHHHH! the Parasite Series have gain international fans, with successful live action films and series.       The idea of Japanese Anime Horror Films and TV is something Strange and beautiful. The artist uses their imagination and puts it down on paper with conviction and fear. if anime fans know that horror fans are interested in those types of anime, it would be a great collaboration for future anime artists and Filmmakers. Writers, directors, ...

Can there be good Christian Horror films? Could be?

Image
Or...Could they?...Maybe? There's something strange about Christian films that take their spin on mainstream films that is so cringe, and not well made, it's almost comedic and I do mean nearly.  I Do feel like some films do have a good message in them, but the execution of it is very laughable.  A Christian version of "Saw" With Rowdy Roddey Piper!! not a good look!     There's something about these productions that twist the word of the bible into propaganda for some movies to the highest level, and it's not a good look. It shows directors try too hard to try to send the messages of god, it's very hard thing to do. So when there are horror movies that deal with Christian topics, some filmmakers will find a way to try and connect with some of the horror movie fanbase. It's very awkward that they have to use horror movies as a way to get the message of god, or to make it a God vs Satan fight while pushing the narrative too much.  John Miller AKA The De...

The King of B Flms

The great Roger Corman was one of the best at giving the world some of the best B-rated films, that are recognized as one of the best in cinema. His films have been turned into musicals or TV Shows.  The Original Little Shop of Horror film from the 1960 That Inspired the off-Broadway musical  There's something about Roger's directing and Acting work that strikes people as charming and fascinating. His Great ideas and imagination, make people excited about the next film he will make, and what he has in store for the audience. But he was also excited about people looking at his work as inspiration for their own work. From filmmakers to producers, Roger was the leading figure.  The off-Broadway of the original film was so good, it was made into a blockbuster movie Musical in the late1980s. Not only has his work been influential, to say the least, but the people he worked with during the films he would direct or work with made it special. From Up-and-coming actors to w...
